As a brand of Oakwood Worldwide, Oakwood Premier Coex Center remains in first place in the hotel industry, introducing a concept of a serviced residence. It has embarked on a renovation to its apartments eleven years after its opening. The renovation for the 280-unit property is carried out in phases to minimize any inconvenience to residents and guests, and is scheduled for completion by July 2015.

Why did you decide renovating Oakwood Premier Coex Center?
In 2002, Oakwood Premier Coex Center Seoul opened as the first serviced residence in Korea and became the best residence hotel. We have been successful for ten years, but not to be complacent, we decided the renovation for continuous development.

What is different from the past?
The most significant change is a differentiated upgrade to meet the needs of clients. We focus on transforming rooms to offer a more guest-friendly experience based on client’s needs and characteristics by types of room.
Newly renovated Studio Superior features spacious living area has been created by reducing the size of the kitchen to supply the demand of business travelers from one month to three months.
One bedroom and two bedroom have been furnished with additional storage space and refitted with veneer wood flooring to increase space efficiency and convenience, collecting opinions of three to six months business travelers.
For the quality improvement, internal interior of large room like three and four bedroom has been totally changed in some cases; open kitchen to galley kitchen, bedroom to study.

Who has been a main target of Oakwood Premier Coex Center and new target after this renovation?
The main target of Oakwood is a business traveler of multinational firms and correspondent staying long-term. By providing differentiated and personalized service to clients with children, it is expected to have more visits of family customer.
