트립어드바이저 2018 트레블러스 초이스가 발표됐다. 총 10가지 카테고리(Top Hotels, Small Hotels, Bargain, Value for Money, Luxury, Best Service, B&BS and Inns, Romance, Family, All-inclusive)로 발표됐으며, 한국은 Small Hotels, Romance, Family, All-inclusive를 제외한 6가지 카테고리에서 순위가 발표됐다. 호텔의 규모와 성격 별로 적용 대상을 조정해 구분한 것이 눈에 띤다.

한국은 포시즌스 호텔 서울이 Top Hotels, Luxury Hotels 2개 주요 부문에서 2관왕을 차지했다. Top Hotel 2위는 오크우드 프리미어 인천 송도가, 3위는 오크우드 프리미어 코엑스 센터가 차지해 2개의 오크우드 브랜드가 모두 상위권에 올라 눈길을 모으고 있다. Best Service 부문은 경원재 앰배서더 인천이 1위를 차지했고, 가성비 1위 호텔은 롯데시티 호텔 구로가 차지했다.

Top Hotels 1위에 오른 포시즌스 호텔 서울의 루보쉬 바타 총지배인은 “2015년 오픈 이후 짧은 시간 안에 한국을 대표하는 호텔로 선정된 것에 대해 그 동안 노력해준 모든 직원들에게 그 영광을 돌리고 싶다”며 “향후 세계적으로 유명한 포시즌스 브랜드를 기반으로 한국을 더욱 적극적으로 알리는데 도움이 되기를 바란다”고 소감을 밝혔다.

Best Service 부문 1위에 오른 경원재 앰배서더 인천 호텔의 조달 총지배인도 “이번 결과는 경영진의 의지와 함께 서비스 일선에 있는 모든 직원들이 고객만족 임계점을 넘기며 고객감동을 이끌어 준 진정한 서비스 역량 덕분”이라고 밝혔다. 또한 “고객님들로부터 큰 선물을 받아 기쁘기 그지없고, 4차산업으로 인해 조금 뒷전으로 밀릴 수 있는 아날로그 감성을 경원재 앰배서더를 찾는 잠재 고객들에게 선사하겠다”고 덧붙였다.
