개관 35년 만에 최초의 한국인 총지배인

밀레니엄 서울힐튼의 신임 총지배인으로 ‘이종헌(51)’씨가 부임했다고 밀레니엄 서울힐튼의 소유회사인 ㈜씨디엘호텔코리아(대표이사 곽익승)가 밝혔다. 올해로 호텔 개관 35주년을 맞이하는 밀레니엄 서울힐튼 최초의 한국인 총지배인 부임이다.

이종헌 신임 총지배인은 신라호텔 국빈 VIP 담당 지배인과 마이스 팀장, 서울클럽 부총지배인, 반얀트리 클럽 앤 스파 서울 상무이사, 리츠칼튼 서울 마케팅 본부장, 서울 가든호텔 총지배인, 스탠포드 코리아 대표이사 겸 총지배인, 차움 라이프 센터 총지배인을 역임한 바 있다.
또한, 이종헌 총지배인은 관광협회 중앙회 등기이사, 관광협회 중앙회 관광 호텔업 위원회 부위원장, 문화관광부 복합리조트 선정 심사위원, 관광협회 중앙회 호텔 등급 심사위원을 역임한 바 있는 관광 호텔업 전문가이다.

신임 이종헌 총지배인은 취임사에서 “서울의 메이저 호텔이자 5성호텔인 밀레니엄 서울힐튼의 총지배인으로 취임하게 된 것을 기쁘게 생각하며, 저의 경영원칙인 정직, 공평, 투명성, 대화와 소통을 기본으로 고객, 직원 그리고 호텔의 소유주가 하나 되어 Win-Win 하도록 하겠습니다.”라고 말했다.

밀레니엄 서울힐튼의 소유회사인 ㈜씨디엘호텔코리아는 자회사인 M&C(Millennium & Copthorne Hotels plc)와 밀레니엄 서울힐튼의 경영위탁 계약을 지난 2004년 1월 1일부로 체결한 바 있다. 한편 M&C는 세계 35위의 호텔경영 전문그룹으로서 16개국에 걸쳐 95개의 호텔을 소유하고 있다.

Millennium Seoul Hilton is pleased to announce the appointment of its new General Manager, Mr. Jong Hun (Jay) Lee.

Mr. Lee joins Millennium Seoul Hilton after a long and illustrious career in the hospitality industry. Mr. Lee has worked for prestigious and international hotel chains such as The Shilla Hotel & Resort, Ritz-Carlton Hotel Seoul, Banyan Tree Club & Spa, Stanford Hotel Korea Ltd., and Best Western Premier Seoul Garden Hotel.  Prior to this appointment, GM Lee was the General Manager and Executive Director at Chaum Life Center, a state-of-the-art center for anti-aging, beauty and health. 

Mr. Lee received his MBA from Soongsil University & University of Hull in England, as well as his Executive MBA from Yonsei University.  Mr. Lee’s management policy has 3 basic tenets: honesty and fairness; transparency; and communication. Mr. Lee plans to employ those tenets while working with the MSH team to successfully lead and drive overall performance of the hotel. 

A native Korean, Mr. Lee’s appointment marks the first time Millennium Seoul Hilton has made a local hire for its top position of General Manager. The Millennium Seoul Hilton family is excited to welcome General Manager Lee and the new era of management and leadership he will bring to the hotel.
